Avatar the movie copied Halo?

Is it me or has new motion picture 'Avatar', being very good and all, copied parts of halo? For example, in the final scene, the humans craft had the design of the Hornet aircraft, the 'hornet' copies were fighting with a mother ship that had features and looked like a pelican. Also, the humans were fighting 'creatures named 'banshees'. Any facts why. As it is the film with the biggest ever budget i'm sure they could have afforded not to copy anyone else's work.

You do know that 'banshees' has other meanings, right? It's an expression and it's also a mythological word... And they weren't really named that, 'banshee' was a nickname the main character used for them.

the hornet and pelican looking things are already concepts of real vehicles, AVATAR is supposed to be what the future will be like, for example the Na-Vi being evolved humans (hence the 4 fingers) - as it is said that we will one day lose our little finger. A banshee is also a term for a spirit so halo didnt invent the word.
