call of duty 4 and halo 3 problem?

Right now I own an xbox 360 with Halo 3, and want to sell both and get COD4 for PC. Why? Because I am sick of nailing a guy 15 times in the body with a BR, and then he shoots me once in the head and im dead. It is a very unrealistic game.

Now I used to be a HUGE halo fan. From Halo 2 to Halo 3, I loved them both. I am a Major, Grade 2, in H3.

I am also sick of little kids getting ****ed off in the post game because my team beat them. can they not take a loss graciously? I always do.

So based on my dislikes, would I like COD 4 or not?

Also, I have played the demo on PC, and the mission "The Bog" gets boring after beating it on veteran over and over again haha.

One other question, is it easy to adapt to the PC controls, or is it worth it to connect a 360/ps3 controller to it and play like that?

please no hate answers, just honest straightforward answers
great answers, very helpful!

a couple more things.

the commander who replied: it may just be me but i have had halo 3 for about 3 months now, but played it for over a year with friends. since you are one rank above me, you are prolly better than me, but it seems like every time i try to work and get better, i get owned? for example, i am working on my BRing (3 bursts on body, last on head), and i get raped? that is what is really turning me off to halo, because i get the first few shots in, but then i just lose it. once again, it may be me, but that is why i wanted to get COD 4 because i know it doesnt take so many bullets to kill.

i played both games and i like halo 3 more ten cod cause u die so fast and not tat much skill to play... halo 3 is better for me cause i play lone wolfs instead of losing every mach cause of my team... if u get cod i would play it for the story mode

Adapting to controls- the WSAD & mouse combination used on PCs allows infinitely more control than any hand held controller ever invented.

Never played Halo, but I found COD4 pretty but eventually boring-
The single player is the same every mission- you have to survive long enough to get to a trigger point, whereupon the enemies stop their infinite spawning and start spawning from another point.
So you have to get past the next trigger.
Rinse & repeat.

The multiplayer was ok for a while- you get promoted & get better choices of weapons & can make custom setups for different maps, but once you reach the top rank (which isn't that hard- I did it twice with different usernames), you quickly get borewd with it.
There isn't (or wasn't- I haven't played it for over 6 months) many custom maps, so they pretty soon got repetative.

Playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear sky at the moment- the random element makes for a much better game. Not tried the MP yet, so I can't comment.

I have both COd 4 and Halo 3. It's up to you really... Call of duty is rediculously realistic, but you die way too easily. Halo is addicting... Its a tough call. I would stick with Halo personally Im a Commander grade 2 and i still play. but i see where your coming from

i acctually agree with you man i am getting sick of halo with all the crappy weapons, i would acctually suggest doing that, but i;d rather get cod 4 for the 360, where at least you;d be used to the controls because halo and cod controls are similar, either way i would get cod
