Can anyone please help me rank up in Halo 3?

Iv been playing halo 3 since release on and off and i consider myself to be on ok player but I am really struggling to rank up and increase my levels. I am currently a Colonel, Grade 2 and Highest Skill: 40 but i am really struggling to get a higher rank. So can anyone please help me through playing doubles? I am a level 22 in doubles. If anyone could help I would be extremly gratefull. Thanks!

I don't have the new maps so i wouldn't be able to help you with doubles. I could level up your account in lone wolves to 45 or so.. but i doubt you trust random people online.
