...will still have the maps? so im asking that if i get xbox live on xbox 360 and then i download the halo 3 map pack i will have it, then when the xbox live ends will i still have the maps even though i dont have xbox live?

Yes the maps save on your hard drive not on xbox live. But you wont be able to go online.
