Does anyone know if Halo 3: ODST is Open-ended?

Im kon the fence about buying this game but if its open ended I think I will buy it.
What I mean by open ended is that after I have beat the main story, collected all the hidden items and explored every area will I still be able to walk aroound the city with out having to restart the game or go through a level select screen?
