Halo 2 xbox offline multiplayer?

in halo 2 xbox if you play offline 2 player is it 1v1 or is there computer players?
it's one player vs one player but are there any computer players on your team?

You would have to have another player on the same console like a friend or something. It would be a local 1v1 unless you had more players you can have a maximum of four players on one console.
