Halo 3 Campaign Question?

I have started a normal single player campaign on halo 3, but i want to start legendary with a friend on co-op instead for achievment and fun purposes. Can i get all the achievments and credit for beating the game even though i haven't finished the single player campaign and am still half way through it?

If you play campagin, it's just like playing it regular except more people. You get acheivements for beating it on normal, heroic, and legendary. But if you already have that acheivement, you can't get it again. If you beat 2 levels on campaign by yourself, and deicde to play with friends to beat the rest, thats fine. It will still give you the acheivemets.

If you haven't beat any campagin yet and do it all on legendary with friends, you will unlock the acheievements for Normal, Heroic and Legendary.

Are you talking about when you beat half of the missions yourself and you want to beat half of the missions with your friend? Yes, that works. You can still get the achievement because you and your friend are working together in the missions. For example, if your friend finds a gold skull, both of you guys will get the achievement because you are on co-op. Good luck!
