I think this image speaks wonders:

The pictures have been edited to improve brightness, but that is all. Everything you see there is from halo 3 ending cinematic and the halo reach cinematic.
From what we can see, masterchief's ship is floating above reach just before the first attack took place. The ship is in the same spot above the planet in both pictures, both cinematics leading me to believe they are the same ship and it is the same planet.
To sum it:
1. Planets have identical 'civilization' on them, the same ring like glowing features (which seems to be cities as when fired upon the lights dim out indicating power failure).
2. The ship seen in both cinematics is in the same position relative to the planet, in the shadow side of the planet and over the same circular features.
3. The cinematics both end with the same 'glowing planet' look.

It is definitely reach in both Halo 3 ending and Halo Reach trailer.
Note ive not mentioned time travel or whatnot. I don't know how MC has gotten there. There could be any sort of reason but it is definitely MC's ship and definitely the same planet. Looks like we'll be playing as spartan 117 again.
