halo 3 forging trick?

im trying to figyer out how to make stuff flot in mid air i allrady no that you can stack stuff under it and you can hold the pice in the air then save it quit the game then reload the map but how do you do it so u dont have to stack or quit i know its possible cus i saw it in a video

You just stack the items under the main item(s) you want to float and you begin to erase/remove the items holing the main one(s) up
