halo 3 highest skill help.?

my highest skill is 12, i was playing ranked team slayer but now they made it so u need legendary map pack. i don't have it so i have been playing ranked match squad battles. i have one at least 5 in a row and i was wondering if my skill will go up form squad battles or if i need to do something else. please help :)

Your overall skill will go up, but the skill that matter (ranked) wont unless its ranked battles. You have to win alot to get to around 50, and in squad its going to be a long long long process. Also if you are doing ranked, i suggest not making a friend get your rank up... because when it comes crunch time, you will die like never before... Best play people around your level and skill.
