Halo 3 map packs help please?

Alrighty well I wanted to play team doubles with my buddy. It said I needed the map packs so I downloaded both the heroic and legendary and it still says I need to download 'em? I downloaded them like 3 times (it even said everytime download was complete) so I don't know what to do. Also when I play custom games and I'm able to use 'em? someone please help.

you remembered cold storage (its free)? right? and why would you waste 1800 (downloading it 3 times) ms points on the legendary map pack?

go to custom games, check your available maps. the maps should show up.

One download should be enough. I know I have been confused sometimes in the H3 UI, it says download content, but I had already downloaded the maps. Do what the guy above said. Create a custom game and see if you can pick the new maps. If so, you should be good to go. Restart your 360 to see if that helps as well. Oh and if you downloaded it once, and downloaded it again 2 more time, I doubt you're being charged again and again. I think once you pay for it, if you end up losing your downloads, you can always go back and download it again without having to pay. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
