Halo 3 new exp question?

oh by the way i am lutenant grade 2. i skipped grade 1... so i want to get lightswitch
i skipped the lieutenant rank on halo 3. and i want to get recon. can i get my rank all the way back to guenrey sergeant then go up.
i i can how do you lose highest skill?

if your trrying to get the lightswitch one its in any play list,just go to another play list and play that till you get to the rank you need.
