Halo 3 ODST Audio Log 30?

My friend and I are in the game right now and we just got the 29th audio log for Halo 3 ODST. we need to know if we go through the game and get to data hive or if we can end it and go straight to the mission...we have beat it on legendary so all levels are unlocked.
