halo 3 odst fire fight match making?

in halo 3 odst can you do match making and find random people to play with kind of like zombies in call of duty waw or can u only play with your friends

You can only play with your friends and recent players. It sucks, I know, but it was something Bungie left out in the creation. Also I think that Firefight games last too long for matchmaking to be viable.

Friends only,l I found this out shortly after getting the game myself. its pretty lame but that's Halo for ya. Friends and recent players only in matchmaking.

No, You can only play with recent players and friends. Bungie had no time to put what they wanted into the game. They said six more months and the game would of had matchmaking.
