Halo 3 online multiplayer betrayals?

Ok there are basically two kinds of betrayals on online Halo 3 multiplayer. Unintentional and intentional. For those that do it intentionally I just want to know why the hell do you do it?

I used to do it, then I realized it makes your rank go down and kicks you out of the game, so now I stoped

for people that do it, most of the times it cause they want your sniper/rocket/laser/sword for themselves cause there pricks
i usually kill them back get my stuff leave them one shot if they decide to kill me again then boot them
