Halo 3 or Halo ODST?? which one should i get?

which of these games is the best to play online and which of these has a good campaign??

HALO 3. The campaign is sooo much more fun. I mean, the story in halo 3 is unbeatable. one man versus an entire race? ODST felt like a side project Bungie made while they were bored. As well, ODST has no multiplayer--its the same as Halo 3's multiplayer. With one addition being Firefight mode, but it is the exact same thing as Horde mode in Gears of War. You and your buddy fight off wave after wave of enemies. In the end the only thing you accomplish in Firefight is wasting hours of your life. In ODST campaign, you don't play as one single character like you do in Halo 3. You jump around to what feels like ten different characters, trying to put the story together like one big digital jig-saw puzzle. You essentially play meaningless characters in a meaningless campaign in a meaningless game. From an AVID Halo fan, GO WITH HALO 3. If you do decide to get ODST, NEVER play Halo 3. All you will feel is a huge sense of disappointment and 60$ poorer.

ODST. The second disc that comes with it gives you ALL the MM maps and you plan play online right off that. The only thing you can't do it the campaign.
