Halo 3 Qeustions?????????????????

I just got a katana on halo3 and i dont even know why.I only have 690GS and i though you needed 1000GS.SAME THING WITH SECURETY ARMOR! Why is this happening? THANKS

actually it doesnt matter how much gs, your supposed to unlock all of the original achievements ( before updates) to get it, this will equal 1,000
