halo 3 ranking system?

I've been stuck at high skill of 27 in halo 3 matchmaking, I win 2-4 games in a row but my skill doesn't go up. anyone know why?

play ranked games and win like 3 games in a row comming first it takes a while though.z

I agree with Brandon V just play ranked lone wolves. It is easier because a team someones sucks and brings the whole team down. Also the top three people win so you have a better chance in lone wolves.
