Halo 3 scoring system question?

I am going to hold a small xbox 360 halo 3 LAN party. I would like to know if there would be any way to record and monitor scores on a pc during the matches.

Get an Excel Spreadsheet and just keep score.

OR

If all players have Xbox live accounts you can manage them via the Bungie Website Player Tracker.
