Halo 3 Talking?

For some reason I NEVER hear anybody talk, and I have a headset I got to voice communications and have it on head set and every thing, unmuted and all that. Is there something special I have to do to actually talk to other people? Its boring not talking to anybody.

It could be that not as many people play that game anymore, or the majority can't afford mics.
Play COD4. Plenty of dialog there!
