halo 3 third person?

ok so in the ign video review, they went into third person without a turret/flamethrower or a car. is there a way to do this in the actual game?

they are actually showing replays, not live gameplay of the level. it means they have recorded the level using the game feature "theater". so, no u cant do it during gameplay except wen u have turrets.
