Halo Movie being released?

I read that there is a Halo movie being released in 2012. Is this true and is there any news on the story. I would asume it would follow the plot of either Reach or Combat Evolved

The Halo movie, currently, is not in production. Most of the scripts for the Halo movie follow the events of Combat Evolved. If they do make the movie by then I hope to god they don't use the script made by the guy that worked on G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra.
