having trouble connecting with friends on halo 3 do to strict nat can u help?

every time i try to connect with some of my friends a box comes up saying i cant connect because by router is a strict NAT and i nead to change it to an open NAT i dont know wat this means or how to do it help

I hate it when it does that. Here's what I do. On your modem/router there should be a (URL) address on it somewhere and a username and password. Just type in the address into .you're computer url =/ and username and password. Then you should be on your router settings. You can change it from there =] hope it helped and sorry if it was confusing (hard to say)
