how can i convince my parents to get X box live for halo 3 {im only 12 yrs old}?

Well, the way your entry looks, dear, I think you sound a bit yougne than 12. I think you ought to do something besides video games first.
If the whole economy was so bad you had to wear your older sister's shoes, I don't htink would be such a big issue.
My uncle had to that in the Great Depression, and the whole country is heading for another one.
I think you should volunteer to feed the homeless,
grow a community garden, read to the elderly, and all of that jazz that shows you care about other people.
Then maybe you will deserve a new toy.

Hi sorry I don't think your parents will change there minds, it sucks they let you dole out 200 bucks for something they were not going to let you use, is there more to the story? My son is 13 and no way is he getting xbox live, my 27 year old plays and even he feels his little bro should not play as the swearing is just way out of hand, as are allot of the comments. Sorry but parents are here to help guide you along in life and this is just one way of doing it. it is not the end of the world and you should be thankful they let you play Halo 3, I play all the games my son wants to play to see what is appropriate Halo is ok Gears of War is not.

Ask them why you can't get xbox live. I managed to convince my folks pretty easy, and I'm 15. Just talk to them about it and see if they have any good reasons for it. From the time I got my 360 I knew I was getting live, my parents agreed as long as I pay for it (which I am). I don't know if there is much people can do for you over the Internet though.
