It's so that all the twelve-year-old children can brag about how they're awesome because they own a highly overrated game that has an M rating. Also, they then start to think anyone that doesn't like Halo games is a "fagg0t." /halofags

Because being that it is graphically advanced to a game like COD2, it shows that...interesting stuff, in more detail; not like a red splatter in COD2, but the content really is QUITE minor. I honestly think there are much worse M games out there. I mean they slapped an M-rating on Oblivion at the last second before release, most likely because of the alcohol content, which is minor as well.

It seems that game companies are slapping M-ratings on games that show a little blood, and say a**. Yet we have movie raters who give a raunchy movie a PG-13 rating, even though is shows partial nudity, includes alcohol content, AND contains minor foul language (just like Halo 3, minus the partial nudity).

It's really insane when you think about it :)

Halo 3 has some occasional MILD swear words as well as a little blood (barely any). Those are the only things that I can think of that would bring its rating up... but M? I don't remotely understand why it got the same rating as Bioshock...
