How come when i put the halo 3 disc in it my 360 it keeps telling me that its a dvd?

i put it in and instead of loading the halo page or wtvr it says like some stuff about putting the disc in to watch the dvd
why??? the halo disc is clearly in!
let me play halo please someone help

This has happend before with me but with the game kayne and lich. It didnt work for a day saying that it was a dvd then one day it just worked lol. Im not sure why it does that, but i still havnt been able to play Battlefield 2 lol. It says its a dvd when i put it in so i just turned the game back to the store.
