how do i get the halo 3 cowbell skull easier?

i went through the campaign and missed it the first time, but i know where it is now.. its just when i select the level its not there... am i supposed to get it when going through the whole campaign? any particular difficulty? anything specific....?

for the skull you must play the whole mission, no checkpoints. and you also have to do it on at least on normal difficulty.

To get the skull you have to start the section it is in, ex. The Ark, of the campaign from the beginning not from the checkpoints.
