how do i get the maps i need to play ranked games in halo 3?

i recently bought halo 3 and xbox live. i loaded up a matchmaking game, and chose to play team snipers on a ranked category. it said i "don't have the proper maps to play this game". how do i get the maps i need to play ranked games? i'm willing to pay if i have to.

You need to buy the Mythic and Legendary map packs off the Xbox Live Marketplace. This requires Xbox Live Gold. The Mythic map pack is 800 Microsoft Points, and the Legendary map pack i belive is the same or lower. You can buy Microsoft points straight from oyur Xbox via a credit card, or buy them at a store. You usually buy 1600 MS Points for $20.

try buying a hard drive and try buying microsoft points to get map ranking points and your set to go. Dont forget to use ur microsoft points to buy some maps for Halo 3.
