Approx. 3 out of 4 times I play halo online, I get booted while still in the matchmaking lobby. This resets my playlist experience to zero, and sometimes I even get an exp penalty. Microsoft tells me I should open my ports (TCP+UDP) and everything should be fine. I've attempted to do this, but it doesn't seem to be fixing anything.
I almost never get booted while in-game, only when I'm actually in the Matchmaking lobby. Most of the time, all of the players will be placed, and sometimes even loaded and it will just cut out like I never hit the search button. I've cold booted the router a number of times, I've attempted to set up a static IP (not sure if I was successful) but pretty much everything I try and throw at this thing, I just end up getting disconnected again. Same place almost every time. This is all very recent and starting to bug me. After explaining this to Microsoft, they say it has to be my ISP. Verizon says it has to be Microsoft, and action tech won't even speak to me. I am in a pickle it seems. Any feedback/suggestions/support/donations(just kidding) would be greatly appreciated!!!
