How do you mod elephants in halo 3?

If you don't know what I mean is how do you pick up the elephant with out using a drop pod and scorpion. Basically I want to know how to spawn where I want it to besides its normal spots

The Elephant on the Sandtrap map is classed as a vehicle and is set at an automatic default position to maximize fairness in team games. Therefore it cannot be moved unless you scoop it up with the Scorpion, but by starting a new round, the Elephant will respawn in its original position. As for modding, you can add things into it, but not on it.
