If I buy Halo:ODST will I be able to play Halo 3 Online with my friends?

I do not have a halo 3 disc. If I buy ODST I realize I will be able to play firefight online, but doesn't it come with 3 new multilayer maps? Does that mean I can play Halo 3 Matchmaking online?
