If i have the second disc of Halo 3 ODST, can i play someone who just has Halo 3?

I want to buy Halo 3 ODST. now if i put in the second disc to go online, will i be able to play online with someone who is just on Halo 3? If someone could just try it out, or if you know please answer

ya you can play whatever they can play except campaign you gotta put in the regular Halo 3 disc for that

Yes, the second disk to ODST is the equivalent of Halo 3 multiplayer. You can play matchmaking with someone who has Halo 3.

The ODST disk DOES NOT come with Halo 3 single player tho.
