if i preorder halo 3 does it really mean they will save a copy for me?

i wanna know since i preordered a copy of halo 3 at eb games will they actually have a copy waiting for me when i go there on tuesday? Or will they say that i have reserved a copy they just don't have any copies at the time since they ran out?
what if i just reserved it?
