in halo 3, what happens if i kill someone that tries to betray me?

sometimes while I'm playing in matchmaking, someone on my team tries to kill me. I'm not really the type to let someone kill me so i attack back and sometimes win. Even though they attacked me first, do they get that boot option?

if u betray someone twice thats when they get the option to boot you.. doesnt matter who starts it.. and why people try to betray you so much?? do u talk alot? lol hit me up my gt is: itz ya girl

Depends on your betrayal record over your games. If you're a good boy, you can get a kill or two without worry, especially if they killed you first.
But please don't start betraying, we have enough of those types on halo 3.
