Is there an alternate location for the Halo 3 Catch skull?

no matter what i do, the catch skull does not appear. I leave both wraiths alone, I destroy 1 and leave the other or vice versa. HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
