Map packs for halo 3?

I downloaded 2 map packs on my xbox 360 at my friends house becuase i do not have live at mine. so i took it back to my house and tried to play the map packs on halo 3 but the maps did not show up. i have been tring everything i can for the past 2 days. does any one know how to make the maps show up. do i have to be always connected to live for me to play them.? please help

i beleive so but it might be that it has to be on the same xbox, tho i doubt it. try going back to your friends house and see if it works there and then u should have your answer

check how much halo 3 saved content on your xbox. the developers have said that if there are a certain number of saved films, screenshots, clips, map/gametype variants, then any additional downloaded content will not show up until you get rid of something else. so if you have a lot of saved stuff, that could be the problem.
