they ever gunna make halo the movie?

like little over a year ago those 8 or 10 min video came out and it was actually pretty good it was legit and i read it was gunna be finshed by summer 09 and come out a few months after that but i never heard anything else and the last i read i heard it was cancled and very low chance of it being made
so any1 have some info on that
it just seems wierd to make 8 mins of a movie and then just stop
