What is the deal with Halo 3 odst?

Ok, so ive owned halo 3 like 5 times....I want to get it again due to all of the new multiplayer maps and such, but now that Halo 3 odst is out, should i get that instead?

Is H3 odst have online multiplayer? is it good?
should i just stick with normal H3 and buy all the expansions?

ODST has Firefight, where you can play with three other friends and take on the Covenant in an endless battle. No actual multi-player where you fight other people online. The Campaign should be great. However, seeing how you don't seem to like Halo 3 that much since you keep getting rid of it, I suggest skipping out on ODST. I LOVE Halo 3, so I feel it as my civic duty to buy ODST...lol.
