Why is halo 3 matchmaking taking so long?

So ive been looking for a game for like an hour now..it gets to up like 300 games found in social slayer, and then it says no possible matches?...why is it doing this anyone know?

Hey man i've had the same problem many times... sadly. Ok there are a few reasons why it is doing this your connection isn't very good and when it does this all i do is go to main screen and sign out then sign back in then click "start matchmaking" it usually works for me. If you have any problems just message me.

it could be you have a bad connection or just the server is down

it could be because your asking questions on yahoo while your playing it lol
