As you would expect in a new version of any game, there are many new features. Below if a outline of some of the new vehicles that will be appearing in the up-and-coming Halo 3.

Officially known as the M274 Ultra-Light All-Terrain Vehicle, is a United Nations Space Command ground vehicle. It has room for two people, the driver and a passenger. This is one of the fastest vehicles available to the UNSC, with all it containing is four wheels, two seats and an engine – there is no weapon.
As it has no weapon, the Mongoose has no offensive or defensive capabilities, and relies solely on its high speed. It seems like it may be a good idea to have a passenger with a powerful weapon to sit next to the driver just so that there is a small amount of firepower.

As the name suggests, the new Warthog in Halo 3 is a troop carrying one. Unlike the other models of the Warthog, the new model does not feature a mounted weapon. As it no longer has weapons on it, it now has space for four passengers in the rear of the vehicle. This takes the total room in the vehicle to six, which includes the driver and the passenger next to the driver. The Troop Transport Warthog relies on its passengers to provide the firepower to defend against enemies. This vehicle was meant to be appear in Halo 2, but due to time constrains it was not included.

The Hornet is an aerial vehicle which is going to be featured in Halo 3. The Hornet consists of a one man cockpit, with a section that extends out of the cockpit into a pair of wings with some type of jet or fan which are on the end of each wing. It consists of one missile launcher as a weapon.
The vehicle contains two stands attached to the underside of the cockpit which act as infantry holding stands. Two of your team members can stand on these platforms to provide extra support. The Hornet is shorter in length compared to the Banshee, but it does have a larger wingspan. This aerial vehicle is featured in the 2007 E3 Trailer, and is seen flying above the Scarab Walker.

The Type-25 Rapid Assault Vehicle, known as the Brute Chopper, or simply “Type-25”, is a Covenant Loyalist ground based vehicle. It is a heavily armored, one-wheeled motorbike which is kept standing by its gravitic array on the rear of the vehicle. As the vehicle is heavily armored, it is also quite sluggish as an assault vehicle. It has a property in which it can temporarily accelerate to double its speed through the use of its gravitic equipment.
The Brute Chopper consists of four Auto-cannons as its primary weapon. The cockpit is quite exposed and offers the driver little, if none, protection from the enemy from the side, but has good protection from the front. The engine has large spiked blades on it, which allows the driver to impale anyone who gets in his way.

The Brute Prowler is a Covenant Loyalist ground based vehicle which will be featured in Halo 3. It appears to be the equivalent of the UNSC Warthog and contains plasma turret in the front of the vehicle, while the driver is in the rear. It is also supposedly meant to feature one or two passenger seats next to the plasma turret.
