Its said to finish the fight Im getting a 360 and Halo 3 in November. While Im waitng should I get Halo 1 & 2 for my xbox so I wont get mixed up in the game or does in not matter.

It does matter because if u play 1 and 2 u will know what is going on in 3, and how to beat certain enemies.
It gets sort of confusing if u never played the first game, but u dont need to really play the second game unless u wanna kno the characters better? i played all three, and i have all 3 and u do kno that the main point of the game is to destroy the rings called halo's xD lol thats basiacally all, but i suggest buying the first halo game and maybe second if ur intrested in the first, -coughfirstisbettercough- lol i loved the first, and u should love the 2nd, the first was fun cuz of the parasites called Flood lol XD

The controls and game options/set up for Halo 3 actually changed a little in comparison to Halo 2.
However, the basic gist is the same as Halo 2, and getting it first would definitely help. Not a necessity though. You will have a learning curve for a game one way or the other.
If you don't have the cash flow, just stick it out and learn on 3. People will call you "noob," but those people probably don't socialize outside of their x box, so just point out that they probably still live with their parents and smell like cheese.

i would get them both play them and beat them so you get the feel of the first two and then when you play the third you will notice all the differnces ...its crazy in some cases ...but yea unless you are into listening to the storyies...then you will be fine .....in halo 2 ...awww beat that ...the ending was horrible and then we had to wait what three years to get halo 3 ...so yea play them both just for the heck of it ....good luck.....=)
