Does halo 3 armor make a difference in multiplayer?

All my friends say it's much harder to headshot an elite from behind. Plus they have smaller heads, so it makes them a little harder to headshot from front. They said the only disadvantage is from the side.

Personally, I have no idea if there is a difference. All the official sites say it's just for appearance. But a bunch of the top Halo 3 players are elites. And it just looks like an elite would be harder to headshot.

Is it true?????

Health wise, no, but there could be several other factors that could make a difference. Like if you are wearing the security helmet, then you will be way easier to snipe because you have a huge orange faceplate to shoot at.

All of the amors in Halo have the same "Silhouette" if you know what that means. All of the armours are the exact same when you are shooting at them. They look different but the shots from the weapons only make contact with the designed silhouette. Does this make sense?

It's basically all about your skills
If you play Headshots a lot, then, your skills will be good.
