Halo 3 Mythic Disc question?

Ok, so I have Halo 3, I want to buy Halo 3 ODST to get the new maps because I don't have the Legendary or Mythic maps. But I'm very confused because I don't know how the Mythic disc works, do I need to have regular halo 3 still, or does the mythic disc contain the complete multiplayer of halo 3? Can i sell halo 3 and buy halo odst, and be able to play halo 3's multiplayer in all the maps?

I bought it on release date, basically it comes with two disks...
The first has the campaign story on and the firefight mode and the second has the 'Full Multiplayer Experience' on, which means it comes with all maps and the whole matchmaking screen you get on your halo 3 match making screen.
So you only need Halo 3 if you want to play the halo 3 campaig because all the multiplayer and thatre mode comes with ODST.

All you need is teh mythic disk, However, you need the original halo 3 for the campaign. If you don't care for the campaign, all you need is teh mythic disk.
