Halo 3/ODST Vidmaster Question?

I dont have sandbox or anyother maps on my halo 3 disk
If i finish all the achievements on the Halo 3 ODST vidmaster and halo 3
Would i get recon on both disc's???? (Halo 3 and Halo 3 ODST multiplayer)

AND WHEN IM DONE THE ALL VIDMASTER ACHIEVEMENTS HOW DO I GET MY RECON..... :)
NEED A DETAILED ANSWER
