Halo 3 Vidmaster/Recon Question?

I'm done all the vidmaster achievements both Halo 3 & ODST. I want to know is there a way to unlock recon armour besides making a account on bungie.net and pressing the recon button?

The reason why I dont want to make a bungie.net profile.....
1.) I dont know how to link my Gamertag
2.) I FROGOT my email I used for my gamertag?

Okay, so my point is there a way to get my recon armour beside making a bungie.net profile?
Also, if you know how to get the email adress you used for your gamertag.... PLEASE ADD THAT TO YOUR ANSWER

Your login is associated with your email, if you logged on to say xbox.com or used hotmail I'm sure your password can be reset.

To link your gamertag, bungie.net has a link for you to follow you might want to use another email for this(I'm not entirely sure that will work...)
