How do I open my Linksys router for xboxlive halo 3?

I enter my router and went to applications and Gaming and i have my xboxs ip but what all should I enter in to open it

This is not as important but I was told I should do something with my iphone and router because it has an ip too is this true.

Make sure you use "port Triggering" not "Port Forwarding" for the xbox.

That's kind of jinkey way around the whole open NAT thing.
