how to premaritally get security helmet and kanta on halo 3?

How come for some reason every time i equipt security helmet or kanta body it disappears and i go back to mark vi but if a i leave it on mark vi eventually i get to wear then if i change it it disappears?????


Also i got 1020 game-score (most from mythic map pack eg skulls) and a couple of the originals too
