in halo 3 if my sevice record shows up as an officer rank do i still get

the rogue helmet? So my rank is just a gunnery sergeant but my service record becomes a lieutenant will i get the rogue helmet in Halo 3?

Yes when you become a lieutenant you get the rouge helmet.

in game items are rewarded by unlocking its corresponding achievement / gamer score amount.
