in halo 3 it wont let me save screenshots, videos, map variants etc. what is wrong?

ex: i try to save a map i made and it will say.... failed to save the map variant to your saved game storage. why? if someone knows please tell me and if you know, how do i fix it?
oh and i forgot to mention, yes my hard drive does have room on it. 6 gigs. soo yeah.

mabey your disk is scrached
