xbox 360 live wont connect on halo 3?

i was just playin halo 3 online the it said dissconnected for xbox live. but when i go back o dashboard it connects again. then when i try it again it does the same thing. so can some one help me fix this please?
it wont connect for any game now but it does for dashboard. and i have a year account

Leave your console off for 30 sec then turn back on

pick it up smash it against wall and go buy a new one thats what i would do..

Reset your modem and router by unplugging them for at least 30 seconds. Then plug them back in and let them fully boot/connect. Reset your 360 as well by turning it off/on. Then try accessing XBL matches again. Routers can some times glitch out and are easily reset by doing the for-mentioned.

If that fails to work, whilst on the Dashboard>hit the Xbox guide button. Scroll to the System blade>select Network Settings>Then run a Xbox Live network test. That can normally inform you as to why you are not able to connect correctly.
